When we finally moved into our home we couldn’t imagine getting everything done without some help. Some of the key entertaining spaces needed a lot of work.
I had previously worked with an interior designer on our last home but not one that offers the level of detail and personalisation that Kaya does.
We approached her about designing 2 of our key spaces. They were more or less blank slates but the living room in particularly needed a considerable amount of decorating work. From the first meeting, Kaya was able to understand what we were looking for and our key asks. She then carried this through to all the key stages of the design.
She is very prompt with communication which was helpful throughout the process. I asked a lot of random questions and they were always answered!
We opted for the package that included the styling phase and it was brilliant to receive product recommendations. She also had excellent tradesmen recommendations and this saves a lot of time when you have to make many decisions.
We wanted to be pushed out of our comfort zone slightly and have spaces we knew we wouldn’t have to redo due to design mistakes. We are more than happy with the end result and I can confidently say the process saved us a lot of time and stress. We have 2 spaces that I definitely could not envision if I tried to do this myself.

After seeing some of Kaya’s work on Facebook we appointed her to re-design our living room in Chelsfield, Kent. This was the first time we had involved an interior designer, we are glad that we did. Kaya listened carefully to all our requirements and her attention to detail ensured those requirements came right through to the end of the job, for example – rechargeable lights with a long charge time, a comfortable place for the dogs, somewhere to put our mugs – small things, beautifully delivered. We now have a fresh room that feels a treat to be in – as a friend said ‘its like a 5 star hotel’. I would thoroughly recommend Kaya, let her work the same magic for you!

We have had a fantastic experience using Kaya’s services for our living room. We live in a newly refurbished home but had no idea where to start when furnishing and decorating it. Kaya has been professional, helpful and generous with her time. She re designed the layout of the room, helped us to pick a theme that worked for us, never pushed us to make a decision or go with something that she felt would work well and the result is incredible. We now look forward to spending time in our living room which is perfect for our family.

Kaya was contracted by us to design our garden room. We had all sorts of design issues because we wanted the room to be multipurpose: an office space, a music room and additional living area/home cinema. When Kaya took on the project, she thoroughly investigated our requirements, budget and tastes before arriving at two main design options with two options for each main item in the room. The whole process felt like a breath of fresh air had been blown onto the whole project. It was clear that she had a well thought through and structured process for arriving at her designs. Furthermore, she is very personable and a pleasure to work with. The end result was simply stunning, we are extremely happy and have commissioned her for another project in our home.

We had a great experience working with Kaya on our living room, bedroom and bathroom. Kaya did a fantastic job of understanding our wants from the beginning and gave us exciting suggestions and options for each room. She made us feel really confident with our choices and the execution was beautiful especially at the styling stage when everything came together. As the framing for our loft conversion was finished, and we were first able to go up there and see the bones of the new space we would have, it became clear to me that we might need some help with design. Kaya was introduced to us through a friend, and we decided that her guidance was exactly what we needed.
Kaya’s process allowed us to really identify the aspects of the design that would be important to us, giving our thinking far more structure and pulling apart the drier elements (such as our need for lots of storage) from the more creative side. She allowed us to achieve a really practical living space, which works in the ways we needed it to. And on the creative side, she showed us that good design can make a room feel really special, and turn it into a space that you look forward to spending time in. Prioritising this side of the design work is something we would not have done on our own at all.
Kaya worked with us on all aspects of the design, from colour choices, layout, lighting, furniture and finishes, through to final dressing with art and plants. Working with her was a fun and collaborative process, and her experience and knowledge was invaluable throughout, guiding us to shortlists of choices, dramatically reducing the time we would have spent researching options and shortcutting us straight to really well-chosen options. Her wealth of experience and beautiful sense of style helped us to make more flamboyant choices which have proven very successful.

We spend a lot of time in our lounge, and as we have not decorated the room since moving here 13 years ago, it was about time we did!
What attracted us to using Kaya was her warm, communicative style, ability to recommend furniture from various shops, including high street brands, and her experience of transforming home and business spaces.
Kaya listened to what we needed and wanted for our lounge and tailored her designs carefully to our brief.
Kaya was thorough and constantly reaffirmed our needs, responses and tastes. She held our hands as she walked us through each stage. We felt Kaya had a firm focus on our requirements and preferences.
Kaya offered choices, but not too many so as to be confusing, and when there were questions or adjustments, Kaya would take us through those until we were completely happy with that stage before progressing onto the next stage.
It was exciting, seeing our tastes and practical needs for the space come to life through the layout drawings, mood board and, finally, the finished space.
My husband, Martin’s comment was, ‘I love the lounge, Kaya did such a good job!’
We can truly say that our lounge is a reflection of our taste in colour, style, fabric, and comfort, and even our dog has his own unique spot to snuggle up on the sofa! All of the different aspects of the lounge flow and fit together perfectly.
Kaya is personable, detailed, knowledgeable and efficient. She got to know us and worked with us to create a lounge we all love.

Kaya did an incredible job turning a dark basement room into a stunning home cinema! We’ve worked with Kaya several times now and she immediately gets what we’re trying to achieve. Her ideas are right on point from the colour palates the way through to the completed project. On this project she also worked seamlessly with the AV install company as well as the carpenter. The finishing service is absolutely priceless in getting those crucial last details sorted. As always, I’d thoroughly recommend Kaya for any project.

Kaya was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much to get towards our vision. We started with what was a sparse living space which didn’t feel welcoming or finished but we couldn’t see how to bring the room to life.

We have used KaVaRa twice now – that is probably the best endorsement of her work I can give. They were two very different projects, but with each project she gave us exactly what we needed. What was similar about both project was that she listened to us, captured what we wanted and was thoughtful and creative in the outcome. I couldn’t be more delighted with both projects! The second room she worked on was a complete “Room of Requirement” – transforming a dumping ground of a bedroom into a calm, gorgeous multi purpose space. Miraculously she managed to fit a long, long hugely varied list of requirements (including tumble dryer, wardrobe space, guest bedroom, space for pet mice, books, Pilates equipment, xbox room to name but a few) and design the room so that select things were on display, but mainly housed in bespoke, brilliantly designed floor to ceiling cupboards. I would not hesitate to use KaVaRa again. Her care and attention, constantly being on hand to make the project work and good eye for detail mean that we have been left with a truly beautiful, liveable space.
