Project Stockwell

Location: Stockwell, London

Our clients needed extra space therefore decided to build a garden room to free up an entire bedroom in the main house. This garden room needed to be multi functional and support them in being a home office, a TV room for the family to enjoy, a music room that houses all their instruments and act as a spare bedroom for guests when required. They wanted to make sure this compliments the outdoor space they have. Our clients wanted subtle colours and textures rather than having plain white walls. 

Goal: Work out an effective layout that will allow for this room to be seamlessly multifunctional. Create a design that’s relaxing, inviting and cosy. 

Practical requirements: Design the best layout complimenting the AV integration. Ensure all instruments had their own space. Create a sleek home office area. Incorporate storage solutions. Bring in seating enough for at least 6 people and make this a spare guests can stay in when required. 

Design: A tactful layout and design that comes together nicely to address the every day need of our clients. We designed this with a natural palette and a splash of colour so the garden and this room come together with harmony throughout all seasons. It’s now a relaxing and inviting space adults and teenagers alike. We added three types of lighting so the family can control the atmosphere in the space. We worked off-plans liaising with the building company to achieve the final results.
