Project Treehouse Guest Bedroom

Location: Chislehurst, Bromley 

This Georgian style new build had character and charm however it lacked personality and warmth. Our clients felt this guest bedroom was vast and empty once they moved in with furniture from their previous house.

Goal: Create a boutique hotel feel in this bedroom so guests can enjoy their stay and relax in their own part of the house. Use a combination of colours that brings the room to life and gives it a sense of luxury. 

Practical requirement: Use the existing bed in the design as well as keep the wall colour. Fill the space to make the bedroom cosy and stylish so it doesn’t feel empty and uninviting. Create additional seating space so the room is not only used for sleeping. 

Design: Keeping the bed and wall colour, we created a unique palette that was vibrant and sumptuous. To make the bed part of the design, we sources chest of drawers instead of bedside tables which gave this side of the room focus and interest. We also brought a couple of additional seating options for a quiet cup of tea in the morning. The splash of colour has elevated the room, creating a boutique hotel feel and comfort.
